My Bali Paragliding Experience

Extreme activities are not new to me because I am a lover of adventure and adrenaline. Paragliding has been one of the many items in my bucket list and the thought of me riding a free-flying glider, with just the wind pressure serving as an engine for us to move and fly makes me excited. This activity will indeed let me see the world in a uniquely different perspective: up from above, slowly gliding and navigating.

Surfing: My New-found Love

Surfing is not in my Bali to-do list. Though I am quite intrigue with the activity, I never planned on trying it while in Bali. But because this is a common sighting in place, I and my friends were enticed to try. We paid IDR150,000 each for an hour of surfing, which includes a personal instructor.

Barkada Trip to Daranak Falls

It has been a decade since I last saw my high school friend. Time really flies so fast! Since he is also an adventurous person, we decided to bond outdoors. Just an hour and a half away from Manila is the Daranak Falls located at Tanay, Rizal. The refreshing cold water from the falls will surely make our summer memorable; and besides, summer won’t be complete without swimming, so here we go.

Summiting Mount Kinabalu

Standing 4,095 meters or 13,435 feet above sea level, Mount Kinabalu is the thirteenth highest mountain in Southeast Asia. Reaching the summit of this mountain will be the highlight of my first solo travel. For a person who only climb one hill (actually, a small volcano), this is really a feat. Just imagine, my first climb is only up to 311 meters, now this… Mount Kinabalu standing tall at 4,095 meters… what an ambition for me! hahaha.

Let’s go Wakeboarding

Camarines Sur is not just known for the white-sand beaches of Caramoan, it also rose to prominence due to the adrenaline rush offered by CWC (Camarines Sur Watersports Complex): the wakeboarding. Our team outing won’t be complete unless we try this activity. No one has ever tried this before, so this is really a challenge. Honestly, I do not know what this sports is all about until the complex was established in the our province. Things are getting more exciting…

I rode a real Elephant!

In my entire life, I only had one elephant encounter… at Manila Zoo. And I just watched it from afar. That was when I was a kid when my parents took me and my sister for a zoo trip. But this day came. I was not just able to see a dozen but even rode one of them!

Skywalking at the Macau Tower

After the most thrilling jump of my life comes the most thrilling walk of my life. Imagine walking around outside a building, not on the ground but on its 61st floor – hmmmm, I’m really quite astonished and nervous as well. Frankly speaking, I got more nervous doing the Skywalk than the Bungee Jump.

The Bungy Jump only takes about 15 seconds while the Skywalk may take you about 10 minutes. I don’t have a fear of heights (luckily) but walking outside the 61st floor of a building, with strong wind blowing and a rope thinner than my arms serving as my life support, it really gave me chills. There were times when my knees are literally trembling. No backing out, this is it: extreme plus adrenaline equals the things I love the most! (^.^)

The day I conquered the Highest Bungee in the World

Located at The Macau Tower, the bungee jump offered by AJ Hackett Macau is the highest in the world. With a height of 764 feet or 233 meters, it’s as if you are jumping off from the 61st floor of a building. Bungee jumping is activity that involves a person jumping off from a fixed structure with an elastic cord attached to his body. See, that’s it… basically you are just jumping. But what is the thrill of just jumping? Well, the trill comes from the feeling of the “free-fall” and the “rebound” after the jump. Surely, the adventurous people loves doing this.
