That 24k Gold Dome! The Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddin Mosque

Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddin Mosque located at Bandar Seri Begawan, the capital city of Negara Brunei Darussalam is the main reason why I was interested to visit the small and peaceful country. I was intrigued by the mosque’s dome covered with 24-karat pure gold. The mosque is considered as one of the most beautiful mosques in Asia, thus, it is a major attraction for tourists (like me).

I can still remember the day when Marina Bay Sands had its grand opening. I was in the Philippines and accidentally, I watched the resort’s promotional video. I was in awe. Who the hell thought of that brilliant idea: swimming pool on top of three buildings?! My dream: to swim on it. And that dream became a reality last 14th of December 2014.

An Afternoon Walk at the Lion City

The place where I find no hate: Cambodia

The two days that I spent at Siem Reap is one of my most memorable travels. I did not expect that I would fall in love with the place’s serenity, peace and simplicity. The temple ruins gave me the feeling of travelling back in time (especially during the 12th century), the huge tree trunks made me feel like I was at the country-side enjoying every second of my life, the cool wind made me realized how wonderful it is to just relax in an uncrowded city, and the people who are so friendly made me feel like I was home.

Weekend Getaway at the Historical Malacca

The past few weeks had been a busy time for me: 40-hours workweek + deadlines + pile of office stuffs. I needed a break from this busy work/city life. Day-off please?!

Good thing there is Malacca (Melaka in local language), a historical city located at southern region of Malaysia. It has been listed as a UNESCO world heritage site since 2008. Being colonized by Europeans such as Portuguese, Dutch and British, the city offers rich history and culture as evidenced by the buildings and structures around the city.
